Fence Done & Curry Night

We've finally finished our fence. Now we've only the grouting of the gaps to do and the patio's finished.

Afer finishing the fence cooked Popadums, onion bhajis and Lamb curry with Paneer. Ok picture don't really do it justice.

Verdict - Popudums & chutney and Onion bhajis were great, curry was good but think will give the Paneer a miss next time!
House now smells like a our favourite curry place so must be doing something vaguely OK

Hope it all goes OK I've part prepared the curry as it takes ages to cook and we've the final stage of the Fence Saga to finish off.

Fence Building Part 2

Second stage of fence building. All fence posts and panels built and up. Only the top rail to put on. Grouting the cracks and then we can have that BBQ summer!!??!!

We're just in the process of builting a fence round our patio. This is the first step. One fence panel built only 4 to go!

Happy Birthday Stuart & Fee & David

Was Stuart and his twin Sisters birthday as well as brother-in-law David, so we had a lovely roast tea at Stuart's Mum & Dad's house There were lots of party games and then came the traditional spit on the Birthday cake.

Produce from the garden

More beans. Getting a bit sick of them now and running out or ideas for what to do with them?
Plenty of Aubergines!
But not many tomatoes yet!

RIP Dad!

Just updating my blogg! Not got very far. As you may already know (possibly from reading Lizzies Blogg) our father passed away on the 14th of Aug.

I've not really got any recent pictures of him but if you go to Lizzies blog http://www.beech-cottage.blogspot.com/ she's put some really nice ones on. As well as some recent pictures of his cooking things. Will have to dig some photo's out and get them scanned in.

You can also find some really lovely messages on the Jamie Oliver webforums where he posted a lot. http://www.jamieoliver.com/forum/ click on leftovers and have a look at Geoffp.

Our local paper the Telegraph & Argus also printed an article on the day of his funeral.

There was also a really nice letter that appeared on the letters page of the T&A a few days after his funeral.
