1st - We decorated the living room!

Seeing as of last week we have been here 10 years we thought we'd better tackle the living room.  Not having the brass or enthusiasm to completely gut the room we thought we'd give it a bit of a makeover!

Busy, busy!

We've not posted anything for a while, we've just been really, really busy.

Home grown veggies

The first tomatoes of the season from our greenhouse

Not the first cucumbers from the school greenhouse

We were getting a bit over run with cucumbers so a quick google and I found this cucumber cake (an adaptation of a Nigel Slater recipe for courgette cake.

Made some pea & mint soup with the peas from garden and mint from the school greenhouse. Well easy to make and fab tasting. Cook peas in chicken stock, add mint leaves, blitz & add cream. Done!

Fly pass

It's been Bingley Show today and although we didn't go we enjoyed the fly pass of this old plane (which we reckon is a Lancaster bomber). I wonder if it's on it's way to Southport Air Show!

Holiday - Spain

Huge ice-creams on the sea front.

We went to Benidorm for the day to see if we could see the sights from the TV series.
